Lauren McGarty

Lauren is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Lauren graduated from C.W Post Long Island University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and went on to complete her clinical internship with a focus in Medical Nutrition Therapy at Stony Brook Hospital. Lauren has experience counseling patients in many different fields of dietetics including oncology, bariatrics, diabetes, ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), nutrition support, eating disorders and long term care. Lauren takes a very personal approach counseling her patients and understands that one diet does not fit all. Lauren focuses on educating patients to make healthy choices, enabling them to nourish and fuel their bodies properly before, during and after treatment.
