Dr. Umangi Patel

Dr. Umangi Patel is a board-certified hematologist-oncologist dedicated to providing her patients with the best care possible. Dr. Patel is sincere, honest, and empathetic. She takes the time to communicate openly with her patients and their families with kindness during difficult times. Interacting with patients and their families creates a special bond, allowing Dr. Patel to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while practicing science.

Dr. Patel received her medical degree from Gujarat University. She completed her internal medicine residency at the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens. Then she completed her fellowship in hematology and oncology at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Patel has been the recipient of the Rose Jack Horowitz fellowship award. She speaks English, Hindi, and Gujarati. In her free time, Dr. Patel enjoys traveling, listening to music, watching movies, practicing yoga, and cooking. Her most important new hobby is playing with her grandchild.
