Dr. Riem Badr

Riem Badr, MD, FCAP is a skilled, board certified hematopathologist. At NYCBS, she is the laboratory director, overseeing the overall operation and administration of the laboratory. Dr. Badr earned her M.S, MB, and Ch B Degrees from Alexandria University in Egypt. Dr. Badr completed two Residencies; one in pediatric surgery at Alexandria University Hospital, and another in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Westchester Medical Center, New York Medical College. After completing her Residency, Dr. Badr completed two more fellowships in Hematopathology and Surgical Pathology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles. Prior to her employment with NYCBS, Dr. Badr served as the Associate Director of Hematopathology at Inform Diagnostics since October 2017. Dr. Badr also served as the Director of Hematopathology and Senior Hematopathologist at Genoptix Medical Laboratory. Dr. Badr is currently a member of the American Board of Pathology and the American Board of Hematopathology. She has participated in educational activities including PACE Lectures, Platform Presentations, and Tumor Boards. Dr. Badr’s speaks multiple languages including Arabic and German. Her special interests include traveling the world and soccer.
